NPFL 2026/2027 Season: Enyimba Boss, Kanu Assure Players Of Better Welfare, Demand Results 

Enyimba FC Chairman, Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo, has assured the players of a better welfare ahead of the new season and urged them to give their best.

He addressed the team at the Uyo Township Stadium on Saturday after Enyimba played out a 0-0 draw with Akwa United in a friendly match.

The game was part of a series of preseason fixtures for the People’s Elephants as they prepare for the 2026/2027 NPFL campaign.

The chairman has been closely involved in the club’s preseason activities, attending sessions in Aba, Port Harcourt, Warri, and now Uyo.

Enyimba will kick off their league campaign with an away trip to Minna to face Niger Tornadoes, before returning home to host Shooting Stars.

The nine-time champions will be chasing a record tenth title this season, as they remain the country’s most decorated club.

He charged the players to represent the club well, noting that the club has big ambitions to achieve.

“The club is big, the players must be big and the result must be big as well. The sweetest thing in Enyimba is result,” he said.

He also assured the players that welfare remains a top priority. He promised that whatever is due to them will get to them promptly, and pledged to do everything possible to keep them motivated.

He further urged them to focus on delivering results on the pitch.
