A top cleric and Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach, Nnewi, Anambra State, Prophet Ikechukwu Uzukwu, has cautioned President Ahmed Tinubu against attempts to stifle opposition parties as an open invitation to revolution, chaos and anarchy.
Prophet Uzukwu who described the latest moves to deregister the National Democratic Congress (NDC), African Democratic Congress, Action Alliance, Accord parties and others as clear attempts to make the President sole candidate in the fast approaching 2027 presidential election.
The prophet noted that it was unfortunate that the incumbent who had always claimed to be fighting for democracy, has become so anti-democratic that everyone was now ashamed of his actions.
According to Uzukwu, “The move to deregister the NDC and others was a super panic move.”
Tinubu knows that Nigerians will no longer tolerate electoral malpractices, and that’s why he’s trying to stifle and suppress the NDC and others so that Mr. Peter Obi will not be on the ballot,” he said.
“President Tinubu’s dream of becoming the sole presidential candidate in 2027 will soon become a nightmare for him. The President has his plans, the opposition parties have theirs, and the masses also have their own. Only time will reveal which plan will triumph.
“President Tinubu has failed woefully in all ramifications. Every aspect of governance has been bastardised under his watch. What he specialises in is borrowing to loot and looting to borrow. His plan to silence real progressives and clamp down on opposition parties is an open invitation to revolution.
“A revolution that will consume President Tinubu and his crowd of sycophants is coming. It is always easier to give water to a monkey with a golden cup, but the issue is who will retrieve the golden cup from the monkey. He lost in the last presidential election in his own polling unit, ward, and local government area. That is a clear message from his own people to all Nigerians.
“If President Tinubu’s son or a relative of any member of his inner circle were kidnapped, their release would be secured within hours. Yet many Nigerians have lost countless family members to bandits and terrorists. Those who are lucky to be freed must have paid huge sums as ransom. Are we going to continue like this? The obvious answer is a capital No,” the Anambra prophet declared.
“It is now crystal clear that his own people who voted against him in Lagos State in 2023 were right after all. Nigerians desire free, fair, and credible elections in 2027 to remove BAT and his government, as well as the All Progressives Congress (APC),” he asserted.
The Prophet appealed to international community, especially the President Donald Trump of the United States of America, to support Nigerians by ensuring credible presidential polls in 2027.
“There is unprecedented bloodshed in Nigeria under BAT, who has become a symbol of bad news to Nigerians. Just as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faded with former President Goodluck Jonathan, the APC will also die with the exit of the incumbent president.
“Mr. Peter Obi made several political mistakes in the past, but this is not about him now. It is time for citizens to rise in defence of the nation’s future. The fight is not just against BAT’s second-term bid, but also to prevent a third-term agenda,” the prophet insisted.
He added that everything President Tinubu criticised his predecessors for has become part of his administration. “The situation calls for change, and change is coming.”
