This monumental milestone marks a triumphant culmination of tireless efforts to nurture and propel the beautiful game in the hearts of Anambra’s youth, solidifying Gran Hermano Academy as a beacon of footballing prowess in the state.

The beautiful event which took place at the Gran Hermano Academy Premise in Awka today, wednesday 4th March, 2026  also had the donation of match balls by the ANSFA Chairman and NFF President, Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

The event brought together top football stakeholders in the state and beyond including Board members of the ANSFA, Local Football Council (LFC) Executives, professional football club administrators and ex-professional footballers in the country.

In his remarks during the official commissioning of the football pitch, ANSFA Chairman, Chief Iloenyosi commended the Proprietor of Gran Hermano Academy, Mr. Chijioke Nwajioha for keying into the vision of combining academics and sporting activities at both primary and post-primary school levels.

Chief Iloenyosi who described Mr. Nwajioha as a friend and key supporter of the programmes and activities of Anambra FA disclosed that the mini-stadium will aid football growth in the state as well as serve as a veritable sporting facility for hosting of football events.

The ANSFA Chairman while also donating match balls to the schools for the sustainability of football activities thanked the Chairman of Gran Hermano Academy for his support and passion for football excellence in the state.

He said that the Gran Hermano Academy mini-stadium is built with the aim of promoting sports and recreational activities in the school and aiding the development of football in the state at large

.

The education and sports administrator averred that one of the objectives of the school is to build a child that is all encompassing both in academic and sports excellence.
