The Amanyanabo of Oproama and its Satellite Communities, HRH.Barr. Tubotamuno Asifamamia Dick,  in Asari Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State has called on the State Government to support the hosting of Old Port Harcourt Township Show.

He stated that the Show has tourism potential and economic importance in the State, as it creates business opportunities for small scale business men and women during the Show.

HRH Dick said this at the second edition of Old Port Harcourt Township Nostalgia Mega Show/ Award Night tagged “A Night of Reminiscence 2″ organised by the Association of Township Paragons for Social Restoration, on Sunday, at Sharks Football Club Stadium in Port Harcourt.

According to him, the Show has brought back the glorious days of Old Port Harcourt township, that was known for love, peace and unity back in the days.

” I am a Old Port Harcourt township boy, this is where we grew up, honestly there is no city like this. Port Harcourt township is rejuvenating itself, everybody is happy seeing their old friends and classmates in school.

“As you can see royal fathers , politicians and businessmen are all here to see their old time friends and enjoy themselves because Port Harcourt is back to its peaceful days.

“I am calling on all Port Harcourt boys to come and buy houses here and live because Port Harcourt township is the best place to live happily.

“I want the organisers to make it annual event, as it also has the potential to become an international tourism event”,HRH Dick said.
