Nationwide League One outfit, Best Talent Football Club of Mowe continued their impressive run in pre season friendlies with a hard-fought 2–0 victory over Greenlock FC at Ebiede Stadium, Sagamu, Ogun State on Saturday 11th October, 2025 in an encounter that thrilled the fans.

After a cagey opening half hour where both sides struggled to find the breakthrough, Okon broke the deadlock before the close of first half with a composed side-foot finish that left the GreenLock defense flat-footed.

As GreenLock FC pushed forward in search of an equaliser, the Mowe Giants secured the win through Jamiu, who capitalised on a sleepy blunder of their opponents and doubled the lead in the second half.

The statistics reflected Best Talent dominance, with 65% possession, 16 shots (8on target), and 11 corners compared to GreenLock FC 5 shots (1 on target) and 5 corners. Both teams finished without any dismissals, though the match saw a combined few yellow cards.

The victory solidifies Adeyinka Adeyemo’s boys hold as they’re on 12 wins, one draw and a loss, while they are gearing up for the new season.

Reacting after the game, Best Talent handler, Coach Farouk Yusuf appreciated his boys for showing grit and skills that neutralized their opponents. “I think we deserve to win this game considering our game plan and determination of my boys. My boys interpreted the game well as they showed agility and ingenuity in.winning this game. They deserve a pat and I commend them for making our fans proud.’ Says former Coca-Cola Coach.
