The Chairman of Nigeria National League, Mr George Aluo has commended the outstanding performances of the four newly promoted clubs in the first matches of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

These clubs have made a strong impression, showcasing their skills and determination in the competitive league as Aluo’s praise highlights the potential of these teams to make a lasting impact in the NPFL.

In recent statements, Mr Aluo emphasized the NNL’s commitment to integrity and fairness, ensuring that only the most deserving teams earn promotion to the NPFL.

“It’s a wonderful performance by the four teams that gained promotion at the end of last season,” Aluo remarked. “Warri Wolves defeated Katsina United away, Wikki Tourists beat Plateau United, Kun Khalifat held Rangers International to a goalless draw, and Barau FC also drew 0-0 with Enyimba in Kano. It was a good way to start.”

He advised the newly promoted sides to maintain focus as the long 38-match season unfolds.
