The Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) has paid tribute to the late Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, marking one year since his passing.

In a heartfelt message, ANSFA Executive Chairman, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, fondly known as “The General,” reflected on Senator Ubah’s profound impact on football in Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.

According to him, Senator Ubah’s contributions to football were significant, particularly through his team, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, and initiatives like the “One Family, One Footballer” project.

He also provided moral and financial support to national teams and various football programs.

Chief Iloenyosi described Senator Ubah as a lawmaker, entrepreneur, grassroots mobilizer, philanthropist, and advocate for the marginalized.

“His legacy continues to inspire unity, togetherness, and love”.

As the football community marks the one-year anniversary of Senator Ubah’s passing, Chief Iloenyosi emphasized the importance of reflecting on his life and ideals.

He prayed for the eternal repose of Senator Ubah’s soul and acknowledged that his ideas and impact remain evergreen
