…..Promotes Safety On The Road

In one of her major breakthroughs in making digital convenience meet public safety, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has once again made a mark in innovation and service delivery with her robust and user friendly Mobile Application called, ‘FRSC Mobile App’, designed to transform how Nigerians engage with road safety services.

This Mobile Application is not just a convenience tool, it is a strategic intervention to enhance national safety consciousness and reduce preventable road traffic crashes.

In a nation where the loss of lives on highways remains a grave concern, this innovation brings solutions right to the palm of every Nigerian. It is no longer acceptable to be uninformed when the tools for protection and compliance are within reach.

But the success of this initiative depends largely on the willingness of the public to embrace it. This is not just an app, it’s a life saving tool, and the Corps calls on all motorists, commuters, logistics operators, fleet managers, and the general public to download and utilize this free application without delay.

FRSC Mobile Application, which is now available for download on Google Play Store , is a one-stop hub that offers real-time access to critical safety tools, FRSC services, and vital road use information. It represents yet another milestone in the Corps’ pursuit of smarter, safer roads through digital transformation.

It is more than just a technological upgrade; a strategic response to the growing need for real-time access to FRSC products and services, and timely traffic intelligence. With a few taps on a smartphone, road users across Nigeria can now enjoy end-to-end access to FRSC services, right from the comfort of their homes, vehicles, or offices.

This all-in-one mobile application has been developed with road users in mind, combining convenience, efficiency, and life-saving tools into a single platform. Through this technology, applicants can easily renew their Driver’s Licence directly through the app, eliminating unnecessary delays and reducing human contact. Through the Mobile Application you can verify the status of both drivers licence and vehicle number plates to ensure that they are truly registered.

Additionally, the App also gives Real-Time Safety Alerts by notifying users of speed limit violations, helping them stay within safe driving thresholds while promoting responsible behaviours on the road. It also helps to detect Black Spot on the highways. With its seamless access to a mapped database of crash prone areas, users can avoid dangerous routes and plan safer journeys.

Most importantly, the App also avails you the opportunity to Live National Traffic Radio Streaming. This is to help you stay informed on the go as users can without any ounce of stress, stream National Traffic Radio 107.1 FM to get real time updates on traffic conditions, safety campaigns, and emergency advisories.

Through the App, you can report obstructions, road traffic crashes as well as disserve by FRSC personnel for prompt response.

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed under whose leadership, this technology was birthed while speaking on the benefits of the Application revealed that by bringing FRSC services closer to the people, this app strengthens accountability, reduces bureaucratic bottlenecks, and enhances real time safety awareness. It is a modern tool for a modern society that reflects FRSC’s resolve to tackle road crashes using technology and proactive engagement.

He maintained that in an era of smartphones and instant information, ignorance is no longer an excuse for unsafe road behaviour or expired documentation. With just a few taps on your device, you can be safer, smarter, and fully compliant on the road.

The Corps Marshal further called on the public to note that having the FRSC app is not a luxury, but a necessity. All motorists including passengers are admonished to download the FRSC App today because your safety is your responsibility and now, it’s just a tap away.
