YSFON Nasarawa State Chapter Constitutes Sub-Committees For 40th Ramat Cup International

The Chairman of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Nasarawa State Chapter, Suleiman Usman Bako, has formed sub-committees to oversee preparations for the 40th edition of the Late General Muritala Ramat Mohammed International Youth Soccer Championship, also known as the Ramat Cup International.

The tournament is scheduled to take place in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, from August 8th to 16th, 2025.

Arising from a scheduled meeting held at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday, the Nasarawa State YSFON Chairman assigned the following Executive Committee and auxiliary members into the various Sub-Committees;

1. ACCOMMODATION SUB-COMMITTEE:

i. Adamu Yusuf – Chairman

ii. Eche Amos – Member

iii. Patricia David Oshuwayine – Member.

2. COMPETITION AND VENUE SUB-COMMITTEE:

i. Yanmama Mohammed – Chairman

ii. Adamu Yusuf – Member

3. MEDIA AND PUBLICITY SUB-COMMITTEE:

i. Eche Amos – Chairman

4. SCREENING SUB-COMMITTEE:

i. Ibrahim Sabo Yahaya(Bagu) – Chairman

ii. Yanmama Mohammed – Member

5. MEDICAL SUBCOMMITTEE:

i. Hajiya Hauwa Abdul – Chairperson

ii. Mallam Abdul Zubairu – Member.

6. SECURITY SUBCOMMITTEE:

i. Godwin Joseph – Chairman

ii. Insp. Isah Mohammed Agabi – Member

7. PROTOCOLS SUB-COMMITTEE:

i. Patricia David Oshuwayine – Chairperson

ii. Hajiya Hauwa Abdul – Member.

While congratulating the Sub-Committees’ members, the State’s YSFON Chairman, Suleiman Usman Bako, charged them to immediately kickstart their assigned tasks to ensure a successful hosting, disclosing that the Secretary of YSFON in the State, Adamu Yusuf, shall serve in all the Sub-Committees accordingly.

He thanked Governor Abdullahi Sule for providing the necessary resources and conducive environment for the competition to hold in the State.

Suleiman Bako also appreciated the Commissioner and Permanent Secretary of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, and Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, as well as entire Staff Members of the Ministry for their support towards the YSFON body in the State and country at large, assuring that the Committees will deliver a successful tournament.

Over twenty-five States have indicated interest to participate in this year’s edition of the Ramat International Cup competition organized by YSFON, with arrival slated for Friday, 8th August, 2025, while screening of players shall take place from seven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, 9th August, 2025, at the Lafia City Stadium.

Each participating State shall present twenty(20) players who must be sixteen(16) years of age, and three(3) officials.
