The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has commended the Anambra State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Joyce Nnennaya Alexander, for her exceptional leadership and the successful recovery of a suspected stolen vehicle through the National Vehicle Identification Scheme (NVIS) Desk Office in Nteje.

The stolen vehicle, which had been missing for three years, was tracked down after an agent of the Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) sent vehicle information for verification.

The NVIS database proved to be a crucial tool in the recovery of the stolen vehicle, enabling the FRSC to track and identify the vehicle with ease.

The effectiveness of the NVIS database is a testament to the FRSC’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance road safety and security in Nigeria.

The recovery of the stolen vehicle is a significant achievement for the FRSC, and Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed praised Corps Commander Joyce Nnennaya Alexander for her outstanding leadership and dedication to duty.

The commendation is a recognition of the sector commander’s efforts in ensuring that the FRSC’s mandate is carried out effectively in Anambra State.

The FRSC boss also urged vehicle owners to ensure that their number plates are uploaded to the NVIS portal during registration to facilitate easy tracking and identification in case of theft or loss.

This, he said, would enable the FRSC to respond quickly and effectively to reports of stolen vehicles.

The successful recovery of the stolen vehicle is a demonstration of the FRSC’s capabilities and commitment to working with other agencies to enhance security and safety on Nigerian roads.

The FRSC’s NVIS database has proven to be a valuable tool in the fight against vehicle theft, and the corps looks forward to continuing to work with other stakeholders to achieve its mandate.
