Barau Football Club Technical Adviser, Rabi’u Tata, has been named the Best Coach of the 2025 Nigerian National League (NNL) Super Eight Tournament.

Tata led Barau FC to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following the team’s outstanding performance in the Super Eight playoffs held in Asaba, Delta State.

The award was presented to Rabi’u Tata during the closing ceremony of the NNL Super Eight final match between Warri Wolves and Wikki Tourists, which ended 3-2 in favour of Warri Wolves.

The experienced Kano State-born coach masterminded Barau FC’s push for an NPFL spot, with his team playing three matches, securing one win and two draws.
