Nigerian Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has made a significant move in her career, joining English Women’s Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion as a free agent.

The 24-year-old will officially become an Albion player on July 1, following the expiration of her contract with Paris FC.

Nnadozie brings a wealth of experience to Brighton, having earned 55 caps for Nigeria since making her senior debut in 2018.

She has also featured in 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League matches for Paris FC between 2022 and 2025.

Brighton manager Dario Vidosic expressed his delight at the acquisition, describing Nnadozie as “a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line”.

According to him, Nnadozie’s experience in top-level competitions will be invaluable to the team.

Nnadozie’s impressive career has seen her win several awards, including the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season in 2024, becoming the first African player to receive the award. She also won the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper of the Season and the UNFP Goalkeeper of the Season in 2024.

The Nigerian goalkeeper’s move to Brighton is seen as a significant boost to the team’s ambitions for the upcoming season.

With Nnadozie on board, Brighton will be looking to make a strong impact in the Women’s Super League
