The Dean of Students Affairs at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Makordi Bieerenu Nnabugwu, has urged students to prioritize their education and avoid involvement in cultism and cybercrime.
Speaking in a goodwill message to students on the occasion of Children’s Day, Prof. Nnabugwu condemned the growing trend of cybercrime among young people, describing it as a societal menace.
He encouraged students to concentrate on their academic pursuits, emphasizing that their primary purpose in the university is to acquire knowledge and skills.
The Dean stressed the importance of reading and acquiring knowledge, which will benefit students in their future endeavors assuring that his office is committed to supporting them in achieving their academic goals.
He also encouraged students to take advantage of the ongoing NELFUND scheme, a government initiative designed to provide financial assistance to students. By participating in this program, students can access funding to support their academic pursuits.
Prof. Nnabugwu i emphasized the importance of students living up to societal expectations and becoming responsible leaders of tomorrow. By prioritizing their education and avoiding negative influences, students can set themselves up for success and make a positive impact in their communities.
