Former PDP Presidential aspirant, Dr. Nwachukwu Anakweze, has promised to utilize his recent enthronement as Onowu in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra state to promote the welfare of youths in his community.

Dr. Anakweze who made the promise during a visit from a cross section of women journalists in the state recently, outlined his plans to engage youths in decision-making processes to improve their lives.

The former presidential aspirant revealed his intention to appoint educated youths as “ichies” in his cabinet, provide support to widows, and offer scholarships to their children.

He has previously awarded 200-500 scholarships and plans to expand this initiative as a town project to make Abagana an exemplary place to live.

Dr. Anakweze highlighted his business ventures, which employ over 400 people and produce bottled water, fish, rice, and cassava.

He emphasized Nigeria’s potential for growth through agriculture, but lamented the challenges posed by insecurity and Fulani herdsmen’s attacks on farmers.

Looking ahead to the 2027 presidential election, Dr. Anakweze pledged to address the issue of insecurity and create a more prosperous Nigeria if elected.

He vowed to put an end to the terrorizing of farmers and promote economic development.
