UNIZIK Set To Graduate 8157 For 2023/24 Academic Session

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu has disclosed that the institution produced 8157 graduates for the 2023/24 academic session.

Prof. Ikechebelu made this disclosure on Wednesday, 26th March, 2025 during a Press Conference to mark the beginning of the 19th Convocation Ceremonies of the institution.

He disclosed that the 8157 graduates are comprising of 167 PGDs, 706 NTI PGDs, 680 MScs, 463 PhDs and 16 Doctors of Business Administration from the UNIZIK Business School.

The Acting Vice Chancellor informed that his administration came on board with the BLESSeD UNIZIK mantra targeted at bringing transformation in the institution through academic, administrative and infrastructural excellence. The Acting Vice-Chancellor highlighted some of his administration’s achievements such as re-establishing of the perimeter fencing, restoring steady power supply as well as creating of the walkways and flood water channels in order to ensure the institution is clean.

The scholar assured that through his hedgehog concept of Happy Productive Staff and Happy Progressive Students, the institution will continue to record more successes. Prof. Ikechebelu stated that the convocation programme is an opportunity to celebrate the milestone of producing 8157 graduands certified in both character and learning who are ready to impact by contributing their quota towards societal growth and development in their various fields of endeavour.
