Two Nigerian teams, Ijele FC from Enugu and Ojodu City FC from Lagos, face off today, March 25, in the Round of 16 at the Vareggio U18 Football Tournament in Italy.

Ijele FC topped their group with six points, securing two wins and one loss. With their free-scoring ability, they’ve caught attention in the tournament, netting eight goals in three matches while conceding five.

Their group stage performance included a 5-2 win over Perugia, a 0-1 loss to Internacional, and a thrilling 3-2 victory over Genoa FC.

According to Ferdinand Nazza, General Manager/CEO of Ijele FC, the team is poised for a strong performance today.

Today’s match promises to showcase the rich talents of Nigerian youth football, with both teams vying for a spot in the quarterfinals. Spectators can expect a spectacular display of skills as these young athletes compete for glory.
