Abia Warriors Chairman, Obuh Marks Birthday With Para-Athletes

In a show of camaraderie and solidarity, the Chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia, Coach John Obuh celebrated his birthday in style with many sports personalities in attendance including Abia State Physically Challenged athletes.

The ‘Umu Chineke’ Supremo whose birthday was on the 21st of this month, decided to have the party today, as he played host to the Abia athletes.

The brief ceremony which took place at Abia Warriors Secretariat, witnessed a gathering of the physically challenged athletes from Abia State, members of Abia Warriors Supporters Club, Management of the club, Technical Crew and other invited guests.

 

The highlight of the ceremony was the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant flanked by the members of the management of Abia Warriors including the club’s Chief Accountant, Ugochukwu Sunday Alwell who was also celebrating his birthday.

All who spoke during the occasion including the Club Secretary, Elder Godson Eluwa, the General Coordinator, John Kalu, Chairman of the Supporters Club, Comrade Ifeanyi Okereke, Coach in the Abia State Sports Council, Jude Ihuarulam, among others, eulogized the celebrant for his administrative sagacity which they noted, has taken Abia Warriors to greater heights.

Coach John Obuh attributed his success to his trust in God and the good counsel from his lieutenants while encouraging all to follow suit.

He also thanked everyone for honouring his invitation especially the physically challenged athletes.
