Ijele Sports Club Finish Viareggio Group Stage In Top-flight

Ijele Sports Club has finished the group stage of the Viareggio Youth Tournament with a heartwarming result.

It was a tense second half as Ijele SC faced off against Genoa FC in the final group game of the ongoing 2025 Viareggio Youth Tournament in Italy.

The match was a nail-biter, with both teams creating scoring opportunities but neither able to find the back of the net in the first half of the encounter.

The goal scoring intensity picked up in the second half as five goals of encounter all came in the half with Ijele running away with the victory.

Ibbe David, Falana James and Ifesinachi Sunday gave the Nigerian side joy as they celebrated their leadership of the group with the 3-2 victory. It was a thrilling conclusion to a hard-fought match.

Ijele Sports Club defeated Perugia FC 5-2 in their first group game, lost 0-1 to Internacional before facing Genoa FC in the last group game.
