The Actions People Party (APP) in Rivers State Chapter, has celebrated Women in Nigeria, following their immense contributions towards nation building.
The Party Chairman in the State, Hon. Sunny Wokekoro, also recognised women as pillars of APP both at national and State.
” Today is International Women’s Day, we have to recognise the significant roles women have played in Nigeria, particularly in our dear party APP.
” In auspicious day like this for Women, I urge all women to use it as a sober reflection in their natural roles as mothers. Please you should not allow yourself to perpetrate and support evil in wherever you found yourself.
“We as a party we are poised to involve women in all strata, both National and State, as it will help the party to grow faster. We are aware that women are nation builders”, Hon Wokekoro said.
He further commend the Governor of the State Sir Siminialayi Fubara for appointing women in key positions, saying that their contributions in his administrations are so valuable.
The Party boss, advice women to see themselves as custodians of morals in our collective State and nation, as mothers, adding that they should do something differently from what men have done or doing.
He further called on women in the party to be more committed as every woman will enjoy the dividends.
