As part of his BLESSeD UNIZIK administration’s agenda of elevating Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu has facilitated the restoration of power at Okofia Campus of the institution.

The power supply from Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) at the Okofia campus of the institution was restored on Sunday, 2nd March 2025, as part of the ongoing efforts to improve electricity across the institution.

The Okofia campus before this time had been disconnected from the national grid thereby hampering the smooth flow of both academic and administrative activities in the campus.

The positive and commendable move by the institution’s supremo aligns with his administration’s agenda to “Light Up UNIZIK” a key component of his BLESSeD vision for the university.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor has reiterated the university’s dedication to resolving power challenges and sustaining reliable electricity across all campuses and with the restoration of power at the campus, Prof. Ikechebelu has continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing a conducive environment for students and staff.
