The Noma Memorial Under 17 Football Tournament, sponsored by Justice Hamidu Kunaza, has come to a close in Bauchi, with the Bauchi Under 17 team emerging as champions. They secured their victory by defeating 3SC of Bauchi Under 17 team with a lone goal in the final match, held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.

The winners took home a giant trophy and cash rewards, while the runners-up and third-place teams also received cash prizes.

The Chairman of the Bauchi State Football Association, Mr. Pascal Patrick, praised Justice Hamidu Kunaza for his contributions to grassroots football development and encouraged others to follow his example.

Justice Hamidu Kunaza noted that the tournament, which will become an annual event, was organized in memory of his grandfather.

The competition aimed to provide young players with a platform to showcase their talents. Kunaza also commended Mr. Pascal Patrick for his efforts in transforming football in Bauchi State.

The tournament discovered talented young players, who will soon participate in scouting programs. A total of 42 youth football clubs from Bauchi metropolis took part in the competition.
