FRSC Anambra State Command Partners  International Breweries To Enhance Road Safety

To ensure improved road safety in Anambra state, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State Command has entered into partnership with the International Breweries Ltd.

The collaboration was formalized during an official visit on January 16, 2025, led by Mr. Okechukwu Nzeribe, the Corporate Manager of International Breweries Ltd, to the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Joyce Nnennaya Alexander.

According to a media release signed by the Sector Public Education Officer, RC Margaret B. Onabe, the meeting aimed to strengthen the existing relationship between the two organizations will also to promote road safety initiatives in the state.

In his remarks, Mr. Nzeribe assured the FRSC of ongoing support and collaboration from International Breweries in promoting responsible driving habits and enhancing road safety in Anambra State.

Corps Commander Joyce Alexander expressed her gratitude to International Breweries for their unwavering support and contributions to the mission of the FRSC. She commended their commitment to corporate social responsibility, particularly in enhancing public safety.

Corps Commander Alexander encouraged International Breweries and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to deepen their involvement in FRSC activities, emphasizing that collaborative efforts are crucial for achieving sustainable road safety goals.

Key Highlights of the visit were the presentation of reflective jackets by representatives of International Breweries to the FRSC. These jackets are essential safety tools for field operations, enhancing the visibility and safety of FRSC personnel, especially during night operations.

The Sector Commander appreciated the reflective jackets and emphasized their importance as life-saving equipment for road safety officers and other stakeholders involved in maintaining traffic flow and responding to accidents.

Mr. Nzeribe informed the Sector Commander that International Breweries is exploring further collaboration opportunities, including Public Awareness Campaigns, Jointly organizing campaigns to educate drivers and road users about road safety, driver training Initiatives, Promoting defensive driving techniques and best practices for road safety, and Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives, partnering on community development projects and responsible drinking initiatives.
