Pre Season Friendly: Best Talent FC Down Ottasolo FC In Lagos

Ahead of 2024/2025 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO1) Season, Best Talent Football Club of Mowe, defeated Ottasolo FC 1-0 in Pre Season Friendly held on Saturday in Lagos.

The game started in a ding dong affairs as the two teams were visibly cautious in the early minutes of the encounter. It was very noticeable that both sides found it difficult to settle down and makes things happen.

After the first 20 minutes, the two teams got their rhythm and got the game under control . A deciding goal of the game was recorded at the 26 minutes of play by Jamiu . It was against the run of play and delivered the master stroke that gave the Mowe boys a back to back victory over Ottasolo FC right at their backyard in Lagos.

The Ogun State Football giants under the tutelage of  Coach Babatunde Farouk Yusuf have been greatly phenomenal as he remains unbeaten in the last twelve games winning eleven and drew one.

Widely respected for producing youthful players, Best Talent Football Club prides itself with young and exciting players within the age bracket of 14-19 years and they have recorded highest victory in the outgoing year winning last two Scouting programme in Lagos and Ogun state respectively.

The entertaining game was witnessed by large turn out of fans as the visitors took the game above the reach of the homers in broad daylight. In fact, all efforts of Lagos football outfits on Saturday to be on level terms in front of their fans met with rock as their tricks were not good enough to cause havoc for the high flying visitors.

It’s no longer new over the years that Coach Farouk is a talent builder and grassroots exponent with enviable records. Having worked with Magate FC, Fackson Tofido, Coca-Cola Junior school and other clubsides with different laurels, the grassroot exponent took over the team and consolidating it with Six game winning streak in his first month.

Speaking with Best Talent Media Coordinator, Sunday Agunbiade, Coach Farouk said, he appreciated the entire members of the team, the Chairman,Mr Adeyinka Adeyemo. The management and of course the players for their cooperation and massive support for the results so far. He specifically praised the commitment of the players in grinding the results for the team.He noted that their doggedness and resilience were vehement in getting the job done on the road.

In his words: “I sincerely wish to appreciate the entire Management team, my players for doing a wonderful job today against Ottasolo FC right in front of their fans. They all played well and stick to instructions . I am very proud of them”,

“We are still building this team and I will not allow this victory to get into the heads of these boys so as to guard against the future . I thank you all.” Coach Farouk submitted.
