A prominent Spiritualist, Elder Akinsanya Fatai Adegboyega, have expressed concern over the waves of corruption, lamenting that it’s the major problem holding Nigeria down from achieving greatness and leadership in Africa and some third countries in the world.
Elder Adegboyega stated this in an interview with journalists yesterday, at Urum, Awka North Council Area, Anambra state, during the installation of Jude Uderike Attado, as ‘Hounnon’ by the Thron Kpeto-Deka Alafia Spiritual Organization.
He specifically criticized what he called the ignoble roles of politicians in setting back Nigeria’s socio-economic development, arguing that they have held Nigeria to ransom for many years, and debased our economic- political programs as well as the traditional values.
“Politicians have bastardised the constitution, the judiciary staff have messed up the courts where rule of law and court orders were issued and disobeyed at random, … the corruption among many personalities in our civil service have disorganized the system established by the founding fathers.
“Nigerians have no fears on potency of the Bible and Quran…, they take oath to stand by the truth, and after, they dump these items and move on with life.
“Traditionally people swear with earth (sand) scoped out, leaves, shrubs, in shrines or any deity which gives instant result like death, paralyses, madness or serial misfortunes in the family found guilty.
“If our traditional values had not been destroyed, Nigeria would’ve become a good and enjoyable country”, he said, lamenting that corruption in high places have become the order of the day”, he noted.
Adegboyega informed that members have come from the Southwest and Beni Republic to pray for the good and success of Jude Attado family, insisting that, “Thron is powerful, a problem solver and it’s spirit does good not evil. Wherever it stays, no witchcraft or evil spirit ventures into that area, …It doesn’t condone adultery, arson etc”.
He cautioned that Jude shouldn’t involve in attrocities like murder, causing harm to anybody, stealing, hatred etc, maintaining that Thron is a spirit sent by God to the world in human flesh like Jesus Christ to help humanity.
Speaking at the ceremony, ‘Hounnon’ Jude Attado promised to preach the gospel of Thron across Anambra state and beyond the Southeast and the Southsouth.
He also expected that in ten years time Thron will be the reigning religion in Anambra, adding that he will used it to counsel against the ills holding Nigeria and its citizens down.
“While searching for solutions to my life problems, I found Thron which became the key to my survival, … bringing happiness and prosperity to my family”, Attado added.
