The Anambra State House of Assembly has expressed satisfaction with the quality and level of work done so far at the ongoing construction of Ekwulobia Township stadium.

The Chairman House Committee on Works and Infrastructure, Mr Emma Nwafor, stated this when he led other members on an oversight inspection of the ongoing project awarded by governor Chukwuma Soludo.

He commended the Governor for considering the reconstruction of the Township Stadium which will no doubt expose the youths to discover their talents .

Mr Nwafor shortly after inspecting the facility noted that the structural alignments and materials being used were in order and solid for the work.

The law makers also said the firm was working in conformity with the standard set by the COREN.

In an interview, the Managing Director of the Company, Chief Charles Obiekwe said the two thousand capacity stadium will be the best of its kind when completed in three months time.

Chief Obiekwe revealed that the Ekwulobia Township stadium has provision for Indoor games, Tatan Tracks, Gate House, Changing room, restaurant and other sporting facilities.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent Uche Ndeke reports that work on the first one thousand capacity Pavillion has reached roofing level while the added one thousand capacity is progressing with beams and reinforcements.
