The Chief Coach of Abia Warriors FC, Bethel Orji has thumbed up the sponsor and organizers of the 2024 Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament.

Coach Orji made the commendation after his team bowed out of the tournament losing to Great Achievers 0-1 in the second semi finals played yesterday at the Pa Ngele Township Stadium Abakaliki.

He described as the game of football the defending champions’ defeat by minnows saying that the tournament as a preseason tournament lived up to expectations giving teams the opportunity to detect loopholes and fine-tune their teams ahead of the new season.

Coach Orji thanked the sponsor Ifeanyi Ekwueme and the organizers led by the LOC chairman, Mr Nnamdi Chukwumeremeze for putting up a standard tournament but advised for improvement in the future.

” Good tournament, good organization but there is need for improvement in the future. This edition is an improvement on the last and l believe the tournament will continue to grow”,

“I commend the Sponsor, Ifeanyi Ekwueme for providing such opportunity for teams”.
