Ughelli Rovers FC have been crowned champions of the 2024 Asaba Super Cup after seeing off Delta Marines FC by a lone goal in a match played on Saturday, 3rd August 2024 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.

Great Udori’s prolific strike was enough to separate the two sides in a Super Cup game bankrolled by Bet9Ja.

The Final match which featured the two Nationwide League Division One sides was keenly contested by both sides with Prolific Striker, Great Udori one of the bright stars of the Cup competition after initially netting a brace in the Semi Finals against Asaba City FC on Thursday, 1st August 2024 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, to give Ughelli Rovers FC a two nil victory over the Asaba based side

This was the second ever meeting between Ughelli Rovers FC and Delta Marines FC in competitive matches after their first meeting during the 2024 Nationwide League One ended in a one all draw at the Kwale Stadium.

Delta Marines FC had earlier qualified for the grand finale by defeating Delta Lions FC of Illah, 2-1, with teenage sensation, Austine Ebikemiebornimughan scoring 9 goals in 11 competitive matches in 2024 year across the FA Cup, Nationwide League and Asaba Super Cup.

He netted a late winner for Delta Marines FC after Chris Nzeh restored parity following the opener from Delta Lions attacking midfielder, Nnabuife Chukwurah.

The four matches of the Asaba Super Cup 2024 edition which was sponsored by Bet9ja will be on Hudl WyScout platform. The winners will have an automatic qualification to defend the title in the 2025 edition.
