A congregation of Widows in Anambra, has described Mr. Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, former 2021 governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party PDP, in the state as a leader with exceptional personality in Nigeria.
This concensus was arrived at Cana house in Awka the capital of Anambra state during Ozigbo”s birthday celebration with indigent widows cut across the 21 LGAs in the State.
The celebrant was accompanied by his family, friends and thousands of Labour Party stakeholders in the state in a thanksgiving mass presided by Rev Jonas Unegbu of Awka Catholic Diocese
In his speech, the celebrant Mr Valentine Ozigbo explained that the essence of the 54th birthday celebration was to thank God for sustaining his life and family over the years and not for the sake of political campaign.
“I am happy and privilege to be in the midst of these widows who have turned out enmasse to celebrate with me.
Mr Valetine who feted over one hundred 50kg bags of rice, vegetable oil and cash enclosed in an envelope admonished Anambra widows to be steadfast in God who has automatically become their husband by virtue of losing theirs and not despair not minding the unfavorable economy of Nigeria.
” However, pray for the peace and unity of the State and Nigeria as whole,” he charged.
While appreciating the largesse, the widows assured the Labour Party leader of their full support in the upcoming 2025 governorship election in the state and equally called on others to emulate his life of selflessness and giving.
