Anambra state government has advised property owners along the right of way of Amawbia-Agulu-Nanka-Ekwulobia-Uga to begin to relocate.

This was contained in the special Announcement signed by the state commissioner for Information, Chief Paul Nwosu.

According to the announcement, the property owners need to relocate such properties to avoid being adversely affected by the state government’s road dualization project.

The announcement read..

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Dualization of Amawbia-Agulu-Nanka-Ekwulobia-Uga Road

ALL OCCUPANTS ON THE RIGHT OF WAY SHOULD RELOCATE*

Anambra State Government wishes to advise property owners along these routes to begin to relocate them somewhere else to avoid being adversely affected by the road dualization project.

The law demands that property along federal highway must be set back by 47.5 meters from center of the road. Anything short of that is a violation of the law and such a property will be regarded and treated as an illegal structure.

By this notice, Government wishes to minimize avoidable losses on the part of those that could be affected.

PAUL NWOSU
Commissioner for Information
