Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors playmaker, Stanley Ekwo yesterday won man of the match in the two games played by his team at the ongoing Nigeria Beach Soccer League holding at the Moonshine Arena Nnewi.

The fleetfooted player neted four goals and three goals in the two matches against Kebbi Beach Soccer Club and Kada Beach Soccer Club to help the warriors grab the first spot on the log of the league.

Speaking after the evening game where Warriors walloped Kada Beach Soccer Club 8-4, Stanley Ekwo dedicated the awards to God, sole sponsor of Beach Soccer in Anambra state, Prof. Victor Mmadubuko and his teammates saying that the awards and victories came because of team work and dedication.

“We worked so hard for this tournament and I thank God for the reward which is massive for me. I thank Prof MADUBUKO, he is Godsend for us in this state”,

“He gave us a rare opportunity and we want to use hardwork and results to show appreciation. It’s been long we wished for this type of opportunity in the state. He came and opened windows and doors of opportunities for us to excel and we promise not to disappoint him”,

“As we go for the Super Four, we will not let Anambra state down. We will fight to the end and by the grace of God bring the cup back home” he said.
