Enyimba’s Assistant Gaffer, Coach Yemi Olarenwaju has insisted that there is no pressure on the NPFL’s defending champions ahead of their NPFL match day 26 encounter against Niger Tornadoes in Aba this Sunday.
Speaking to Enyimba media on the tie, Yemi who takes charge of the encounter in the absence of Finidi George who is absent after departing with the club captain, Olorunleke Ojo to team up with rest of the Super Eagles ahead of the International friendlies said they envisage Niger Tornadoes will look to consolidate on their impressive run recently after beating Bayelsa United and Sporting Lagos.
He said they will treat them like every other game and try to play their game as usual at home hoping to win all three points which he said is the most important thing.
“We know is going to be a tough game, Tornadoes they are doing very well having won at Bayelsa and winning at home against Sporting Lagos, we know they coming here at least to prove a point.
“But they is no pressure on us, we’ll treat them like every other teams, treat the with respect ND we try to play our game and go for the maximum points which is much more important for us now.
In the reverse fixture last November in Kaduna the People’s Elephant’ held the Minna based side to a goalless draw.
In the last five meetings of both sides Enyimba who are currently 5th on the log with 42 point has only been able to beat Tornadoes who are on 14th on log with 30 point once drawing three and losing One.
The Aba giants who are still ruining the dropped point at Ikenne would hope to compensate their fans with a good performance and all three point on Sunday as they continue their quest to retain their league title.
Enyimba Int’l FC will on Sunday by 4pm at the Enyimba Int’l Stadium, Aba take on Niger Tornadoes in one of the NPFL Match day 26 encounters across various centers.
