The Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo on Wednesday, 17th January 2024 hosted the playing personnel and management of Solution FC to a special new year breakfast meeting.

The special breakfast meeting held at the Governor’s Lodge Amawbia was to welcome the players and management of Solution FC to the 2024 Year as well as to eulogize them on their performance thus far in the ongoing 2023/24 Nigeria National League (NNL) season and further encourage them to finish on top of the log at the end of the season.

Addressing the Solution FC delegation led by Patrick Estate Onyedum, the Chairman of the Anambra State Sports Development Commission (ASSDC), Governor Soludo eulogized the team for their fruitful adventure thus far in the Nigeria National League (NNL) which has seen them maintain almost a 100 percent record at home with four wins and three clean sheets despite being together for just a month before the commencement of 2023/24 NNL season.

“I must commend the players and management for the fruitful adventure so far in the NNL. I acknowledge that it’s not been an easy ride after seven rounds of matches played winning all your home games and currently placed second on the league log.

“I am hopeful that you can translate your good performance at home to away matches by getting results against your opponents on the road. I assure you of my continuous support to the team and be rest assured that we will fulfill and keep our promises to you in ensuring that you stay focused on the task ahead by producing good results on weekly basis and finishing on top of your group by the end of the season to secure the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) playoff spot,” Soludo said.

Gov. Soludo also informed that the gathering was more than a meeting as it is a testament of his administration’s collective commitment to elevate Anambra’s football prowess at the national stage. He averred that having been an enthusiastic footballer during his active days, he took great joy in rekindling the passion for the beautiful game as football is not just a sport but a unifier and a testament to the state’s vibrant spirit.

Highpoints of the occasion was redeeming of the monetary pledge made to the team by Mr. Governor and presentation of a special portrait of Gov. Soludo to him by ASSDC Chairman, Hon. Onyedum. Present during the breakfast meeting were the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi; Special Assistant to the Governor on Digital Media, Hon. Izuchukwu Adichie; Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Hon. John Ezebuadi; Director of Sports ASSDC, Madam Faith Okwonna and Sports Consultant of the ASSDC, Mr. Olu Sule.
