The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has Congratulated the Governor of Ebonyi state, Mr Frances Nwifuru on his resounding victory at the Supreme Court.

The Chairman of IPMAN Enugu Depot, Mr Chinedu Anyaso while speaking with Journalists said the Association has also passed a vote of Confidence on the Governor for his policies and Programmes aimed at alleviating poverty and boosting the economy of the people.

According to Mr Anyaso, the approval and appointment of an IPMAN norminated member as Special Assistant on Oil and Gas is a clear indication that the governor has the progress of the people at heart considering that the sector has a great impact on the economy of the state.

The IPMAN Enugu Depot Chairman, noted that the appointment no doubt will bridge the gap between the marketers and the government which also serves as an intermediary for the resolution of any arising misunderstanding without such impacting on the people negatively.

Mr Anyaso while calling on the residents of Ebonyi State and beyond not to panic as there was no plan to increase the pump price of petrol by the NNPCL, said the association will continue to interface with the government to ensure that consumers are not extorted for commodity that is naturally deposited in the country by God.

The IPMAN Chairman explained that part of the reasons for passing a vote of confidence on the Governor of Ebonyi State was his granting of an appeal for a consolidated internal generated revenue of one hundred thousand naira for each petrol station operating in the area.

” We want to congratulate Ebonyi state Governor on his victory at the Supreme Court and equally thank him for granting our request in giving us a slot in his government by appointing one of us his SA on Oil and Gas, it’s a welcome development”

Mr Anyaso said also the association pleaded that a trailer tanker park be provided for its members in the state which the governor had already accepted even though yet to be made available.

” We are equally happy that he is touching lives and empowering citizens as well as building human capital development of the state. We demanded for our members to be paying one hundred thousand naira which he approved ,we don’t have any problem of multiple taxation in Ebonyi State as in Anambra State where everything goes in terms of revenue” The Chairman IPMAN Enugu Depot concluded.
