Imo State Sports Boss, Okonkwo Says None Of His Athletes Was Disqualified

The Imo State commissioner for Sports Hon. Emeka Okonkwo has declared that none of the State’s Athlete was thrown out of the National Youth Games on account of age discrepancies

The commissioner who addressed Journalists in Asaba said, Team Imo Athletes and officials play by the rules governing the competition and wouldn’t succumb to such a foul play.

He noted that the Governor of the State Sen. Hope Uzordinma has motivated the Contingent enough to expect a good result from all of them in Asaba.

On sports development in Imo State, Hon.Okonkwo make bold to extend an invitation to all that care to visit Imo and witness the growth of the sports in the state.

He stressed the progress Heartland FC and Grasshoppers Handball team both in Imo are making in various Competitions in and outside Imo.

He noted that Imo AthIetes in Asaba would be received with laudable handshake when they victoriously return from the 7th National Youth Games in Asaba.

“If the Governor could receive Super Falcons players who were not from Imo State, he would do more for the Imo NYG contingent.
