Damilola Adeyanju was the cynosure of all eyes at the Ugwashi Uku stadium where Team Ogun thrashed Adamawa 5-0 in the opening game of football event at the 7th National Youth Games in Delta State.

Adeyanju scored in the 23rd, 27th and 87th minute to propel the Ogun State Female Football team to a convincing win.

Tosin Elijah and Dosunmu Temitope were also on the scorer’s sheet in a game that was largely dominated by the girls from the Gateway state.

Victory takes Team Ogun to the semi final where they will face the winner between Team Lagos and Team Delta.

The two football heavyweights, Delta and Lagos will clash later in the day.

Meanwhile coach of the team, Prince Adeniyi Adeyinka after the game made it known that the sole aim of his girls is to deliver the female football gold medal to the Ogun State government.
