The management of Rangers International F.C  has assured the Enugu state House of Assembly of the team’s readiness to return to it’s prime position in both domestic and international football competitions.

The Chief Executive Officer of the ‘Flying Antelopes’, Barr. Amobi Ezeaku  gave the assurance during the Oversight Function visit by members of the Youth, Sports and Security Committee of Enugu State House of Assembly.

The Committee led by its chairman, Honorable Raymond Ugwu visited the corporate office of the club.

Barrister Ezeaku thanked the law makers for taking time off their busy schedules to take a look at what is going on in the premiership side, saying, “Since my appointment by the government of Enugu state as the G.M/CEO of Rangers with the mandate to make the team a true professional outfit, we have done much to see that we key into the ‘Disruptive Innovation Ideas’ mantra of the government in the club”,

“Soonest, the actions already taken by management will start bearing tangible fruits that will see us reclaiming our pride of place in club football competitions. Also, the corporate world is also showing a lot of interest in what we are doing and some have commenced negotiations”,

“However, we call on this honorable committee to help in pushing for executive’ attention in our areas of challenges.”

Speaking, the chairman of the committee in the 8th Assembly, Honorable Raymond Ugwu, congratulated the young club manager and his management team for their efforts in making Rangers regain it glories, stating,

“We came here to familiarize the committee members with the management of the club as part of our oversight functions. We came to seek out areas of strength and challenges so as to ensure that the club become the best brand in the country in all ramifications. Rangers must become champions again and we need to experience night matches again in Enugu.”

Also speaking, Honorable Osita Eze and Magnus Edeh in their separate submissions, charged management to ensure that the club becomes the best football playing club in the country as well as on the continent while promising to make positive contributions during sessions in the house that will be beneficial to the demands of the club.

Other members of the visiting team include Honorable Obinna Ijele with the committee’ clerk, Kingsley Okonkwo and media personnel, Chukwuemeka Okolo.
