Anambra State once again made history, this time in the World of Sports as 14-year-old Prince Kingsley Chimeremeze Agugo became the youngest sports personality in the land to feature and get global certification at the World Rugby seminar.
The just concluded World Rugby seminar held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba, Delta State was organized by the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) bringing together top officials and stakeholders in the game of Rugby in the country.
Prince Kingsley Chimeremeze Agugo, who is currently in Senior Secondary School Class 1 (SS1) attended the hybrid seminar featuring courses on refereeing, first aid, level 1 coaching, concussion management, strength and conditioning, as well as key factor analysis to earn himself the status as a world class rugby manager and administrator.
Prince Agugo upon completion of the courses was awarded four certificates by World Rugby. The certificates awarded were on Rugby Ready (online), Introduction to Coaching (online), Introduction to Conditioning – Children Prelevel 1 (online) and concussion management for the general public (online).
Prince Agugo also represented Anambra State in the game of Rugby at last month’s Under-15 South East Zonal Eliminations for the upcoming National Youth Games (NYG) and helped the team to qualify as representatives of the South East zone for the NYG scheduled to hold from 21st September to 1st October 2023.
Congratulations to Prince Kingsley Chimeremeze Agugo and Anambra State at large.
