Ahead of the second leg tie of the first round of the CAF Champions League qualifier between NPFL Champions and Libyan side, Al Ahli Benghazi, the Chairman of Enyimba FC, Kanu Papilo Nwankwo has taken time to applaud Abia State Governor, Mr Alex Otti for his unwavering support to the team.
The FIFA Ambassador who reserved praises for the club’s number one fan while inspecting renovation work at the Enyimba Int’l Stadium, Aba, said the Gov’s passion for sports development in the state and unflinching support for Enyimba has been the key determining factor for the huge success his new administration has recorded so far.
He thanked the state’s number one citizen for clearing the players salaries and back log of outstanding match bonuses among other motivational supports he has extended to the team.
He further assured that in appreciation of the good gestures from the Governor, that the players have promised to repay the Gov with a victory over Ahli Benghazi and qualification into the next round.
Kanu who also interfaced with the players reminding them of the task ahead said his administration has come to serve and ensure that Enyimba is a force to reckon with and run professionally in all departments.
