Two teams from the commercial nerve center of Anambra state, Onitsha, have qualified for the finals of the novel Anambra All Stars Competition.

The two teams Noble All Stars and Onitsha All Stars sent home two tournament favorites, Peace FC All Stars and Anaedo Bigger Boys All Stars respectively.

Onitsha All Stars put up a huge fight against Anaedo Bigger Boys in a pulsating semi finals encounter that was described by many as finals before the finals. The Anaedo Bigger Boys bowed out of the gold chase losing on penalties after 1-1 regulation time.

The atmosphere was not peaceful for Peace FC as the early goal from Noble FC disorganized the team hit by injury.

Speaking with news Pathfinder, the coach of Noble All Stars, Mr Benjamin Chukwudi (ODODO) said that his side will work hard as the encounter will be a local derby as both teams use same field for training.

“Being in the finals is a huge success for me because we were not given a chance in this tournament. Then playing against our brothers will be a tough one but we will win. We will work extra hard to achieve that”.

The finals will be played on 13th August at the Awka City Stadium.
