Teenage Nigerian Cyclists For T&T Youth Commonwealth Games

Two determined teenage cycling sensation named Olawale Marvellous Roseline, 16, and Arogundade Aishat Feyisara, 17 will participate in T&T Commonwealth Games.

Despite their young age, both of them had already made a mark in the local cycling community, winning several competitions and garnering admiration from fellow athletes and coaches.

Their talent did not go unnoticed by one particular coach named Omeboh Joy Otuya.

Coach Joy has been a seasoned cyclist who had represented Nigeria in numerous international competitions.

She recognized the potential in Olawale and Aishat and has been assigned the task of guiding them to greater achievements though the Commonwealth Youth Games holding in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago for the Games.

The competition will feature many youths from countries, nations and territories that were colored under then British Empire the Games are scheduled to run from August 4 to August 12, 2023

Olawale and Aishat are thrilled to be with Coach Joy’s to the competition as their dream of representing Nigeria on the international stage has now become a reality.

Coach Joy has devised a rigorous training regime for Olawale and Aishat.

They would wake up early each morning, ready to push their physical limits to new extremes.

From endurance training to speed drills, their days were filled with intensive cycling sessions accompanied by strength and conditioning workouts.

Coach Joy didn’t just focus on their physical training; she also understood the importance of mental preparation. She encouraged Olawale and Aishat to stay focused and motivated, reminding them that hard work and dedication would ultimately lead to success.

She instilled in them the belief that they were capable of achieving greatness.

Their dedication and perseverance were evident in their improved performance and unwavering determination.

Coach Joy is excited that her young protégés have transformed into formidable athletes.

They competed fiercely, challenging their limits, and showcasing the skills they had honed under her guidance.
