SEWFC: Heartland Queens Battle GP World, Three Others As Tournament Begins

Heartland Queens football club of Owerri has been set to lock horns against 4 other clubs in group A of the South East women football competition at the Old Stadium Tetlow road Owerri.

The gallant Onwa Babes have been scheduled to begin their preseason campaign with the opening match against GP world fc on Wednesday 2nd of August.

On Friday 4th of August, Heartland Queens will look to show dominance when they trade tackles against Maureen Madu FC by 12noon .

The team will return to the stadium the next day 5th of August for another battle against Morning Star FC at 10am.

The best is saved for the last in the final group stage clash when the Onwa Babes will revive their old rivalry in a pulsating Imo derby clash with State FA cup final familiar foes, First Mahi babes on Monday morning.

The tournament will help put the girls in shape ahead of the coming Nigerian Women’s football league season.
