The Vice Chairman of Senator Ifeanyi Uba led Anambra Football Association Board, ASFA, Bar Jude Chuks Obikwelu has urged the new FA Chairman in the state, Chikelue Iloenyosi to use his wealth of experience and connections to move Anambra State football forward.
He stated this at the official handover ceremony held at the state FA secretariat in Udoka Housing Estate Awka in the company of four board members of his administration which include, Bar. Joe Amene, Ada Edwards, Chief Kingsley Udu and Emeka Ralphel,
Barr. Obikwelu stressed that apart from the hand over ceremony, that their second mission to the secretariat is to congratulate the new FA boss on his confirmation as the Chairman of Anambra FA by Nigeria Football Federation Board, NFF.
He pledged the loyalty and support of the out gone board to the new board and also gave assurance of their willingness to assist anytime they are called upon to do so.
According to him, “the hand over was not delibrately delayed but we waited for a substansive Chairman to be in place.”
He further wished him luck in all his future endeavours.
Items handed over by Obikwelu include, 18 seater Joylong bus, cheque books of FA account with Zenith and UBA banks.
Responding, the new FA boss, Mr Chikeluo Iloenyosi commended the former Board members for their love, understanding and integrety, saying that it depicts the quality of the former Board members.
He promissed to work with them to take Anambra FA to the next level.
In his remark, the Ag. Secretary, Mr. Ralph Nweke thanked the former Board members for the ceremony.
