The coach of Gombe United, Mr. Aliyu Zubairu has said that his team’s win against Rangers International is  not a revenge but a reward for hardwork.

Gombe United defeated Rangers 1-0 courtesy of substitute Ibrahim Yahaya in the 47th minute of the match day 37 at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe.
He said it is not a small success playing and winning a team like Rangers considering the quality of their technical team lead by Abdul Maikaba.
“It was a a very good match and tough as well considering the pedigree of the coach of Rangers International. You can’t have it better when it comes to tactical approach in the game. I know what I am talking about. He was my boss”,
“And Rangers has a pedigree as well. Rangers International is not a small club. So we prepared very very well for them considering what we saw when played against them in the first round at their home. So l am a very happy person winning the match”.
“The winning is not a revenge, but a product of hardwork. The victory they had when we played at their home was justified. They played very well and won the game. That was what gave us the feeling that we just have to work hard I’d we really want to get the three points and that’s what we did”.
He said the victory has sealed the desire of his team to finish well in the season, “what the victory means to me is what I said from the beginning of the season that I want the team to finish well”,
” Now the only thing that is left for us is how we can get even a point in Port Harcourt to be able to accomplish our mission. At least we want to stabilize on the log, that’s all”.
