Gusau Visits Anambra To Honour Prof. Poly Emenike’s 40 Years Nanka Champions League Sponsorship

All is set for the 2023/2024 Nanka Champions League finals slated for January 1, 2024. Eleven branches kick-started the fiesta on December 22, 2023 at NEROS Sports Stadium.

The edition’s final will see 5 times Champions, Nkpor branch take on Umuahia branch in what promises to be a battle royale.

The final is also coinciding with 40years of Prof Poly Emenike’s sponsorship of Nanka Champions League. The NFF President, Mr. Ibrahim Gusau will be in Nanka in honour of Odenigbo Nanka’s giant strides.

In the Semi Final matches, Umuahia branch defeated Kwara branch, 8-7 on penalties after goalless full and extra time while Nkpor branch defeated 2022 Champions, Ota branch 4-3 on penalties after 1-1 draw at full and extra time.

The final between Umuahia and Nkpor takes place by 3:30pm after the third place match between Ota branch and Kwara branch.

The first, second, third and fourth prizes will smile to the bank with One Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N1.5m), Nine Hundred Thousand Naira (N900,000), Six Hundred Thousand Naira (N600,000) and One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) respectively.

Odenigbo Nanka is the sole sponsor of Anambra state FA Cup since 2007.

The NFF President arrived Anambra on Sunday.
