Matchday Day 2 of the 2023 Nigerian National League season, no doubt brought out the best from all the teams, as the best teams won in all the centres.

The star team of the week however went to Madiba FC who despite the gruesome accident on their way to Awka in the match against Edel, still went and ran away with an away win. There were two away wins in Lagos alone. Coach Seye Ajayi tutored Osun United defeated Tradesafe at home, while Crown came from behind to beat International Lagos in front of their home crowd. 33 goals were scored in 17 matches, with 2 goalless draws.

Match Day 3 will be another explosive week with the teams striving to consolidate on their standings in the league.

Conference A

Dakkada vs Edel :

This match will be a match of two aggrieved teams. Both teams lost their match day 2 games, with Eldel losing at home. Dakkada on their part are still struggling to find their feet in the season. They will surely not leave any stone unturned to amass the three maximum points.

Rovers vs Smart City:

Rovers of Calabar were a shadow of themselves when they played 1472 last weekend, but against another Lagos team, nothing will stop the Calabar boys from winning at the end of proceedings.

Vandrezzer vs 1472

Vandrezzer got more than they bargained when the came visiting Abeokuta last weekend. This week at home, they are condemned to win, to remain among the top flyers.

Ekiti Utd vs Stomers

The Stormers from Abeokuta have a tough nuts to crack in Ekiti. The home boys will not allow the points to slip.

Beyond Limit vs Coal
City

The beautiful grass at the Remo International Stadium will surely see the best of football this weekend. Beyond Limits will strive to take the game beyond Coal boys. The home boys will win this one.

Madiba vs Abia Comets

The star team of last weekend Madiba will have their hands full when they tackle a revigorated Abia Comets FC. The Coach Kevin Ejeh tutored boys from God’s own state, will give them a run for their money. It’s a match that anything can happen.

Conference B

Osun Utd vs Warri Wolves

The high flyers in the group will have a lot to battle for in Osogbo. The Warri Wolves will want to maintain a hundred percent record so far in the league, but the home team will not spare anything for them as long this encounter is concern.

Ijebu Utd vs Tradesafe

Tradesafe is taking their redemption battle to Ijebu this weekend. Having lost their last match at home, they may be disappointed at the end of 90 minutes against Ijebu United.

Giant Brillar vs International Lagos

There will no place to hide for the International boys from Lagos. Giant Brillar will want to maintain their home invisibility.

Ikorodu city vs FC One Rocket

FC One Rocket is going to Lagos with the morale of a last week home win. Against Ikorodu City in Lagos, they may return to Uyo empty.

Crown vs Gateway

It will be a baptism of fire for returnee Gateway FC in Ogbomosho. The Abeokuta who will play their first league match in the season, will have their hands full, as they meet a Crown team that bagged an away win last weekend. Crown will pick the maximum points here.

Conference C

Wikki Tourists vs Elkanemi Warriors

Wikki Tourists are table toppers in the group. They are still riding on the five goals they scored in the first match against EFCC. These goals have kept them up there for now. Against the Warriors from Maiduguri, they have a tough battle ahead.

Nasarawa United Vs Mighty Jets

Nasarawa United will be battling their next door neighbors for the maximum points. Both teams are yet to lose any match, and the Solid Miners will surely smile last.

NAF vs EFCC

This is another local derby at the Area 10 Old Parade Ground pitch. It’s a game of desperation, as both teams are yet to pick any maximum points this season. It would be a match that can go either way.

ABS vs Zamfara United

ABS will not spare Zamfara in Ilorin. But, they would have to be careful of the United boys.

Conference D

Adamawa Utd vs City FC

Adamawa United will be hosting City FC of Abuja in Yola this weekend. City who won their last match at home against Mailantarki Cares, are taking a long trip to Yola to tackle Adamawa United. A win for the home team will be a boost to them in the league.

Kebbi Utd vs Sokoto United

Sokoto United will take a short trip to Birni Kebbi to confront Kebbi United. Coach Mansur Abdullahi and his boys will no doubt come out of the encounter unhurt.

Mailantarki Care vs Sporting Supreme

This is another local derby. Mailantarki boys will need to dig deep before they would get anything from the Supreme boys who are poised to maintain a hundred percent record so far.

Jigawa vs Malumfashi

Jigawa Golden Stars will throw everything into this match to emerge victorious at the end of proceedings. Malumfashi who still remain unsettled will surely find the Jigawa boys too hot to handle, as the home boys will want to redeem themselves this weekend.
