Former Super Eagles Captain and Enyimba FC Chairman, Kanu ‘Papilo’Nwankwo has enjoined young footballers to embrace a discipline lifestyle and refrain from distractions.
The FIFA Ambassador gave the advice while speaking to young players of Carabana Football Academy who are participating in the 2023 Tico Select Preseason tournament at the Uyo Township Stadium.
Carabana Football Academy lost 0-3 to Enyimba International FC in their group match played yesterday.
He advised the players to stay focused and work hard to realize their dreams.
The Olympic Champion told them that himself and many other great players were once like them and wit the hard work and discipline their dreams will come true.
“Myself and other great players were once like you. Be disciplined and your dreams will definitely come true”,
“If you have a friend that is lazy, let him go, you have a bad friend, let him go. Focus on what you want to achieve. This green surface (points to the field) and the round object is what you know. Sleep, dream, wake up, eat football ball. Make your feet and that ball your treasure”, he advised.
“Remember what I told you today, it is not easy and it will never be easy. Any good thing comes is not easy. Later you will tell the story. I wish you all the best”.
