Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has moved a step closer to filling two principal positions, with the University Senate electing members to the Selection Boards for University Librarian and Director of Works.
The decision was taken at the 243rd Special Meeting of the Senate on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
For the University Librarian Selection Board, the Senate elected Prof. Nkechi Nwokoye and Prof. Dereck Orji. To the Director of Works Selection Board, Prof. Virginia Ejiofor and Prof. Ugochukwu Okonkwo were elected.
The elected professors will serve on the boards responsible for screening and recommending candidates for the two positions.
