Paschal Pea Describes Benin Expo Performance As A Generational Treasure

One of the most explosive rising artists in Africa, controlling the tempo and rhythm of the future of Afrobeats on the globe stage, Paskal Pea, has described his performance at the Niger Delta Games Cultural Expo as a day he will cherish and remember for a long time to come.

Paskal Pea, who’s growth in Afrobeats has been nothing but phenomenal, stated that being invited to display his talent and captivating voice at the biggest regional-national event in Africa was a dream come true.

Paschal Ebube Chukwu, affectionately called Paskal Pea, made this statement during an exclusive interview with FIRST ZEALMEDIACAST BLOG’s Oluwatobiloba Zeal-Adepetu Kumoye.

The Enugu born award-winning artist, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the hard work and selfless dedication shown by the organizers of the one of a kind event that fused sports, culture and music, all in one.

Paskal Pea who was making his second visit to Benin City after serving his youth service in 2024, landed in grand and electrifying fashion, with pomp and some paparazzi, stealing the show as the crowd all joined in to make it a night to remember.

“It’s been great, I served here in Benin in 2023, in Ikogbo, it’s been a great place for me with great experience, coming back here in Benin feels good. It’s a great event, a great program, it brings together people from different states, it’s an opportunity for people to connect,” he said.

The 24 year old, artist with a ‘PhD’ in crowd management, stated that anytime he picks up the mic, his number one goal is to reach the heart of his, audience, listeners and fans, doing so he believes will endear him to their hearts and minds.

He further shared his thoughts on the cultural displays at the historical event, stating that Edo will always have a special place in his heart.

“Watching the cultural displays, the Edo Culture attracted me the most, I’ve always had this love and respect for Benin culture, their culture is unique, I’ve seen Yoruba, I’ve seen the Calabas, but Benin stands out for me,” he explained.

Paskal Pea went on to add that the big dream for him is to create a name that resonate across the continent and the world.

“My big dream is O2 Arena, sold out, I want to be a big name in Afrobeats, I want to go global, not just Africa but the World, I want to be heard, I know it’s hard but step by step I’ll climb the ladder to the very top,” he concluded.
