Enyimba FC will host Wikki Tourist FC in a highly anticipated NPFL matchday 13 showdown at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba today by 4pm.

The match marks the 21st top-flight meeting between the two teams, with Enyimba having 10 wins, 5 draws, and 5 losses since 2010.

Enyimba defender Paul Odey, a former Wikki Tourist player, is set to face his old team for the first time since joining Enyimba.

Odey while speaking with Enyimba Media expressed his excitement about the fixture and his membership of the nine time champions’ family.

“I’m delighted to be part of this family. Enyimba FC is a big club in Nigeria and Africa with high pedigree, and everyone wants to be here. And being here, I want to do my best”.

Odey emphasized the team’s determination to maintain momentum after back-to-back strong performances. “We’ve been putting in our  best in training. The players have worked hard all through the week as we seek to maintain the winning mentality, and we are optimistic about getting the desired result.”

The defender also urged fans to come out and support the team adding that the players are determined to return the team to the continent.

“We also want to urge the fans and all Abians to come out and cheer us to victory. I’m certain this season will be a good one for us as we are all working hard to return the team back to the continent.”

Sunday’s match promises to be an exciting encounter between two teams with a rich history and ambition.
