The Anambra State Police Command today 8th October 2025 joined the rest of the Service delivery Agencies in celebrating the 2025 Customer Service Week, with the theme “Empathy in Service.”
According to the PPRO, Tochukwu Ikenga, the celebration, which is held annually in the first week of October, provides an opportunity for the Command to appreciate the cooperation and support of the people of Anambra State for their partnership in promoting safety and peace across the State.
As part of the celebration, Divisional Police Officers, Area Commanders, and Heads of Tactical Units were seen engaging their host communities through open-door interactions, stepping up alternative dispute resolution strategies in addressing some complaints in their stations, engaging is security awareness sensitization walks, gifting the public as well as engaging in sanitation service within their area to promote mutual trust and collaboration.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu in his goodwill message, reaffirms that the safety and security of Ndi Anambra remains the Command’s top priority. He emphasized that the Police are not only law enforcers but also public servants whose duty is to protect lives and property with empathy, fairness and professionalism.
The CP urged officers and men of the Command to use the Week to reflect on their security service delivery and to strengthen their relationship with members of the public. He also encouraged them to continue to uphold discipline, courtesy and accountability in all interactions with the public.
